We are 132 years old!

In 2005 we celebrated our 125th anniversary we held one or two special events.

VICTORIAN FUN DAY

On the 7th of August 2005 we re-created the way green bowls was played in 1880 when our club was opened. Members enjoyed a Victorian picnic and a game of bowls in the attire of the time. This year, we plan to hold an Edwardian Day to celebrate 131 years of bowling at the club. This will be held on the day the Gentlemen Vs Ladies competition takes place, Saturday 30th. July, and the gentlemen will be asked to wear collar and tie and hat, whilst the ladies will be required to wear ankle length skirts, also with hats if possible. Everyone is asked to bring along a picnic to enjoy mid afternoon and we issue a special invitation to all our social members to join us for the celebration.
